Taken
from one quadrant of the Mount Saint Agnes College seal, the logo symbolizes
Saint Agnes and all the women martyred by literal and metaphorical swords.
An "A" pierced by a sword is sheltered by the martyr's palm, symbol
of ultimate triumph over evil. The whole is enclosed in a double circle,
representing the communion of spirits in this life and the next linked
by a longing for unity with God and faithfulness to promises. The logo
was designed by Mary Jacque Benner, RSM. |
