Vows in the New Millennium
Sister Mary Aquin calls for a reformulation of Mercy theology in this lecture. She asserts that this process requires an examination of the vows of religion based on the three Mercy tenets of union, charity, and service of the poor, sick, and ignorant. Her claim that the number of vocations will dramatically increase after this process of reformulation is supported by her analysis of the vows as they are viewed through a modern Mercy lens.
