Ecclesial Challenges for the Sisters of Mercy in the 21st Century

In this lecture, Sister Mary Aquin examines the state of the Sisters of Mercy as a rapidly changing organization. She argues that aspects of its sectarian life are collapsing, and thus its identity has dramatically shifted away from its original state. She offers new "criteria for evaluating contemporary Mercy life," and also suggests "possible ways of framing the decisions that face us [the Mercy Sisters] relative to our ecclesial challenges."
